The great Ray Bradbury died on 5th June 2012, just two days ago. Bradbury was a truly visionary science fiction and fantasy author. His work varied from the dystopian world of ‘Farenheit 451’, to experiments in time travel in stories like ‘A Sound Of Thunder’, through to surreal, contemporary horror, as seen in the book ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes’, in which a murderous circus rolls into town.
I wrote and recorded ‘To Sail Across A Sea Of Stars’ fairly recently, inspired by the Bradbury short story, ‘Kaleidoscope’. It seems fitting to show it off to you in tribute to a fantastic author with a vivid imagination.
